Becoming a Driver Education Instructor

All driver education instructors who teach persons under the age of 18 after January 1, 2001, must be certified by the Department of Transportation.

Persons wishing information on how to become an instructor should email the DOT Safe Communities Office at gordon.hong@hawaii.gov with their name, address, telephone and fax numbers and email address. An information packet will be mailed to interested parties.
