The Kahului Airport terminal services both arriving and departing flights to and from the U.S. mainland and major airports on the neighboring Hawaiian Islands.  This terminal consists of two levels, with the entrance and exit to the terminal located on the ground (street) level.  The ground level houses the ticket lobby area, used to process luggage through agricultural inspection (if destined to the U.S. Mainland), passenger check-in and security screening.  Also, on this level are the baggage claim area, ground transportation, visitor information and a souvenir shop.  Passengers access the second level of the terminal by either escalators or elevators.  The second level houses the holding rooms and departure gates, as well as, retail shops, a newsstand, a restaurant/lounge, and a visitor information booth.  Loading bridges are used to enplane and deplane all passengers.
