Kuhio Beach Nourishment Project- Additional Information

The State of Hawaii DLNR is conducting an offshore small-scale (10,000 cubic yards) sand-pumping project at Waikiki Beach
The purpose of the project is to re-nourish Waikiki Beach and demonstrate the effects of offshore sand retrieval in Hawaii
for future beach restoration projects. The project is anticipated to last approximately 20 to 30 days.
